TEAM is proud to support an Oculoplastics Fellowship in partnership with EyePlasTX, in San Antonio, TX. This fellowship program is structured in accordance with nationally recognized standards set by the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology (AUPO), ensuring a rigorous and high-quality training experience. This Fellowship is designed to train the next generation of subspecialty ophthalmic surgeons in advanced oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Armin Avdic

Role: Oculoplastics Fellow

Dr. Armin Avdic is an oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon serving South Texas. Born in Slovenia and raised in Bosnia, he moved to the United States following the Balkan conflict. He earned a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering and a Medical Degree from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Avdic completed his Ophthalmology residency at LSU New Orleans, serving as Chief Resident. He subsequently joined the faculty teaching residents and serving as director of ocular trauma. He then pursued ASOPRS fellowship training in San Antonio. He leverages his surgical background to provide aesthetic and reconstructive eyelid, orbital, and facial surgery.
